Yes, its a bit messy, but keep in mind I do not have Photoshop to paste things like most of these meme doers have. I have paint shop pro.

Yes, apparently there are SO many things which influence my art- but I can only pick a handful. Nature and Mythology are represented by a LOT of things- which is a reason why I didn't find a pic to represent them. Nature is rich and abundant in animals and plants which inspire my art, and same with Mythology with its creatures.

My Drawing style which I use to draw humans/humanoids is DEFINITELY inspired by The Retro-pop art style used in Dexter's Lab, Powerpuff Girls (c) Cartoon Network and Yes, the Fairly Odd Parents (c) Butch Hartman. Crossover ideas are influenced by those old cartoon Network shorts which featured characters from different shows interacting with one another :D

Christina Ricci's early films have always had a lasting impact on me- they are very memorable- Casper (1995, by Universal) and The two Addams Family Movies by Paramount (Special Mention to Charles Addams) :D come to mind- and have, along with Warner Bros- Influenced the sense of Humour I love and have :D and started my liking for Gothic stuff, ghosts in mansions etc. too- But it was BURTON who made me like it even more.
Ah Yes-
Tim Burton of course is a big one which influenced the gothic victorian style seen in my cartoonish art- and my trips to London and Paris (represented by the photos of the Eiffel Tower and the Big Ben) and thier art and history museums. I HAD to put 2 childhood books I enjoyed as a kid which symbolise the themes of cute Halloween creatures and beings which I tend to use in my artwork and such- FunnyBones series (three skeletons in a cellar- Big, Little and Dog) and the Meg and Mog book series- about a witch called Meg and her cat Mog.
Lolita fashion (and those suits that gentlemen wear) which I see in some of my local shops (cosplay ones that is) are of course a sub-influence with the victorian style which I like to draw (but in my own cartoonish way- mainly the gothic lolita style worn by my own OC Little Miss Melanie Dirge (or Miss Dirge or MD for short))- and of course the work of CLAMP- which features such characters wearing such outfits- mainly Sakura from cardcaptor Sakura and Chii from Chobits. Oh- and Cardcaptor Sakura is my fave Shoujo anime by the way- next to the uncut Sailor Moon :)

My LOVE for creatures-cute AND strange or both- had always been very large being a mythology and nature freak and all- but it was the pokemon games (and show during that time) (c) Satoshi Tajiri, the Digimon anime (c) Toei and my memories of the Original Spyro Trilogy (c) Insominiac Games (which I played as a pre-teen) which make me want to create and draw my own creatures :D The more cute and colourful ones are of course inspired by 80s animal toys with colourful hair and such- Lady Lovely Locks (c) American Greetings and My Little Pony (c) Hasbro come to mind, but there were PLENTY of those kind of toys during that time period- one being the Fairy Tale birds, which were by Hasbro. Of all my creatures- The Pegapuss of Wishing Star Land are my most 80s influenced ones. Thier fellow creatures of wishing star land like the Jewelaves maybe too :)
Some Gothic creature companions I draw MAY have such hair too (the Horsetail bats)- but mostly not as colourful (they tend to be more sleek and sophisticated than wild). The Work of CLAMP can also be an influence of loving cute creature/animal companions too.

Special mentions (which I didn't put down due to lack of space) include:
-Music (especially Andrew Lloyd Webber's musicals and Swing music)
-J-pop music and thier music videos :D
- Childhood films such as Homeward Bound (c) Disney, Don Bluth's movies and The Little Rascals (c) Universal Pictures and Home Alone 1 and 2 (c) Warner Bros :D and the scores of Disney's classic hand-drawn films
-and many many more
:D

Enjoy :D
